Celebrities aren't usually known for "aging gracefully." While there are some exceptions to the rule, of course, there's no denying that cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery are considered the norm in Hollywood.

There is a lot of pressure on stars to maintain a youthful (and often largely unattainable) appearance. But going under the knife doesn't always guarantee the desired outcome.
In fact, the results of plastic surgery can be incredibly devastating. This is especially true for celebrities who become addicted to undergoing multiple and usually unnecessary procedures.
Some of Hollywood's biggest names have been altered from naturally beautiful to plastic nightmares. And although the reasons may vary from one star to the next, one underlying motivation is clear - the desire to live up to unrealistic beauty standards.
We are all victims of being bombarded with heavily edited images daily, making us feel inferior, overweight, and ugly. But, for celebrities, brainwashing and manipulation are tenfold.
Some are even instructed to make changes to their physical appearance if they want to be successful in their careers. It's a sad reality in a very superficial industry.
We've come up with a list of 15 beautiful celebrities who have fallen victim to the negative side of plastic surgery. Keep scrolling to take a look.
1. Janice Dickinson
Self-proclaimed "world's first supermodel," Janice Dickinson was a sight to behold in the 70s and 80s. But, these days, Janice doesn't look anything like the fresh-faced beauty she once was.
Janice went under the knife for the first time when she was 33, and she's had several procedures since then. From tummy tucks to breast augmentations and eye lifts, Janice has had them all!
2. Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan was a beloved child star, but she quickly went downhill as a teenager, becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol. Lindsay pushed herself to the limit and developed disordered eating habits and an addiction to plastic surgery and injectables.
3. Daryl Hannah
Daryl Hannah has never technically admitted to having plastic surgery. But the noticeable difference in her appearance in recent years is very telling.
Experts believe Daryl has had cheek augmentations, an eye lift, and multiple injectables. Sadly, Daryl was undeniably much more attractive in her natural form.
4. Hang Mioku
Former Korean model, Hang first had plastic surgery at the age of 28. She became addicted immediately, even traveling to Japan to have further procedures.
When doctors began turning Hang down and refusing to do any more procedures on her, she sought out some silicone on the black market. Hang injected the silicone into her own face until she ran out, and then began using cooking oil!
5. Lil’ Kim
Lil’ Kim's history with plastic surgery is a long one. From nose jobs to injectables to fat removal to skin bleaching, she's tried it all.
Lil' Kim's first nose job was to fix the damage done by her abusive ex. But, since then, she's gone much, much further.
6. Melanie Griffith
Melanie Griffith was once the ultimate girl-next-door with her fresh face and blonde locks. Although Melanie has not always been open to discussing her appearance, she is well aware of what the public thinks.
"Most people tell me I look horrible," she once said. Melanie has been through a lot in her life which experts attribute to her plastic surgery addiction.
7. Jocelyn Wildenstein
New York socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, is well known for her extensive facial surgery and resulting cat-like appearance. Jocelyn was naturally a very beautiful woman to start with, but she began going under the knife in an attempt to become more appealing to her cheating husband.
Jocelyn has reportedly spent almost $4 million on plastic surgery. More recently, she was imprisoned for assaulting her boyfriend with a pair of scissors.
8. Kim Novak
Kim Novak was once a beautiful actress, best known for appearing in several Alfred Hitchco*ck films. But Kim shocked fans with her strange appearance at the Academy Awards in 2014 after undergoing some intensive cosmetic procedures.
Now in her 80s, Kim looks nothing like the natural beauty she once was. The once-popular actress is believed to have been the victim of multiple botched procedures.
9. Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson is largely known for her many cosmetic procedures. From her famous breast implants and subsequent implant removal to her inflated lips, and multiple nose jobs.
Pamela is naturally stunning, but sadly, over the years she has destroyed much of her natural beauty with her extensive cosmetic procedures. In recent years, Pam has toned down her look somewhat, choosing a more natural look.
10. Joan Van Ark
Joan Van Ark was once a beautiful soap star in the 80s. But, in more recent years, the star has sadly transformed into something you are more likely to see in a nightmare.
Joan's facial structure has changed entirely. She has declined to comment on her cosmetic procedures, but the evidence is crystal clear.
11. Michaela Romanini
Michaela Romanini began having plastic surgery just 19. She became quickly addicted, especially to collagen lip injections.
Michaela was once a stunning, feminine woman, but her use of cosmetic surgery has strangely given her a more masculine appearance. Michaela's once fine features are sadly now a thing of the past.
12. Lara Flynn Boyle
Lara Flynn Boyle was once considered a classic beauty. But sadly, after years of injectable fillers and several plastic surgeries, Lara is a much more artificial-looking version of herself.
13. Shauna Sand
Shauna Sand became obsessed with plastic surgery because of her fascination with the Playboy lifestyle. Shauna managed to transform herself into something resembling a blow-up doll.
With breast augmentations that put her in a size 33D bra to brow-lifts and fillers galore, Shauna has tried everything at least once.
14. Priscilla Presley
Priscilla Presley was given a naturally beautiful face. But the stunning bride of Elvis has ruined her natural features over the years, with Botox, filler, and facelifts.
At one time, Priscilla was injected with low-grade silicone, comparable to that used by mechanics to oil car parts, and her face has never been the same.
15. Meg Ryan
Meg Ryan was the ultimate girl-next-door in the 80s and 90s. But more recently, the actress looks far less natural than she did in her prime.
Meg has had various fillers and other procedures over the years. Her once youthful good looks are now much more plastic.
