My plan for a better workplace continues... and I've got a question for you... How many people related policies do you have in your business? When I reviewed policies a few years ago at Acceler8, I discovered we had 48. 48!I read them all. Everyone read them all. It was part of induction. I read them again and tried to capture the essence of each policy. It seemed obvious why the word police is hidden in policies. There were some common themes... - We wanted people to work safely- We wanted to what was right- We wanted our working relationships to be fair - to our colleagues and to the business. So that's what we have. The Safe Way, The Fair Way and The Right Way. A one page infographic for each that details the main headlines of working at Acceler8. We had them checked - they're legal. Our colleagues like them and we actually use them... unlike the 48 separate policies they replaced. Ditch the traditional policies and have policies that support great work and create an environment where people can thrive... and you'll have a much more human workplace on your hands. What's next in my plan for a better workplace? Who is still with me?! Who is brave enough to try it? Who hates everything I've said? #BetterWorkplace #BetterBusiness #BeHappyBeHuman #HumanWorkplace
