Arlecchino, also known as “Father” is the keeper of the House of the Hearth ranked #4 of the Fatui Harbingers. Her first debut was in the Fatui trailer before Fontaine was released, and she is one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the game. Luckily, Hoyoverse gifted us an incredibly interesting and powerful character with a lot of complexity to her kit. This guide to the best Genshin Impact Arlecchino build will explain the best weapons, artifact sets, constellations, and team compositions for Arlecchino.

How to Get Arlecchino in Genshin Impact
Arlecchino debuted in 4.6 and is a limited 5-star character, meaning the only way one can snag a copy of her is on her limited-time banners.
Genshin Arlecchino Gameplay Overview
- Element: Pyro
- Weapon: Polearm
- Rarity: 5-star
Arlecchino is an on-field Pyro DPS that deals his damage through building up a “Bond of Life” in order to amplify her Normal Attack damage. Her other parts of her kit do not contribute nearly as much to her damage profile, but are still valuable to maximizing her effectiveness.
To understand Arlecchino’s playstyle, we need to understand how Bonds of Life work. Some weapons will give characters Bonds of Life, and there are likely to be future characters that work around this mechanic. A Bond of Life is essentially “healing debt,” based on a portion of your HP. Let’s say, for example, you have a Bond of Life equal to 25% of your Max HP. If you were to be healed by 10% of your Max HP, you would not get healed at all. Instead, your Bond of Life would be reduced to 15% of your Max HP.
For Arlecchino, the more Bond of Life she has, the stronger her attacks are. Additionally, Arlecchino has a passive skill that prevents her from receiving outside healing, allowing her to gain lots of Bond. This is both a benefit and a drawback, since Arlecchino will have some issues with survivability, meaning she’ll benefit greatly from having a shielder on the team.
The main strategy for Arlecchino players is by utilizing reactions to amplify her damage, in which an off-field character constantly applies an element like Hydro, Cryo, or Electro for Arlecchino to trigger reactions with Normal Attacks.
For more information on elemental reactions, check out the comprehensive guide here.
Arlecchino’s build will mostly focus on ATK%, Elemental Mastery if you’re using Vaporize or Melt reactions, and CRIT stats. Energy Recharge needs are purely based on how much you need Arlecchino to heal herself with her Burst, as it is her only way to recover HP. By default, a player can usually get away with using her Burst every other rotation and building no Energy Recharge, especially if she is constantly being protected by a shield.
Overall, Arlecchino is a high-power Pyro DPS that could easily be the primary Pyro DPS for someone’s account, given they can account for her complex gameplay balancing her Bond of Life with survivability. Her on-field combos feel satisfying to play and she will have no problems clearing abyss when properly supported.
Stats Worth Consideration
- ATK%: This is the stat Arlecchino’s damage scales with.
- Pyro DMG%: DMG% should almost always be the Goblet of choice for DPS units.
- CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG: For nearly every DPS character, CRIT is the most important stat to build on the circlet and substats.

For any character devoted to building damage, it is important to prioritize a 1-to-2 ratio between CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. 1-3 ratios, while they may give dopamine through bigger Crit numbers, is actually less damage overall. Aim for 75;150 in most cases!
Genshin Arlecchino Talents and Attack Combos
Your talent-levelling priority should be Normal Attack > Skill = Burst.
Normal Attack: Invitation to a Beheading
Arlecchino’s Normal Attacks are stylish and effective, and are a primary part of her damage. It is absolutely imperative to level this talent as high as possible as soon as possible. Whenever her Bond of Life is above 30% of her HP, her Normal Attacks will deal Pyro damage. The damage will increase the greater the Bond of Life is. Each Normal Attack, however, will consume 7.5% Bond of Life.
Normal Attacks also reduce the long cooldown of her Elemental Skill by 0.8s with each attack.
The optimal Normal Attack string is using three normal attacks, then a dash, then repeating.
Elemental Skill: All Is Ash
Arlecchino’s Skill attacks an enemy and marks them with what’s called a Blood-Debt Directive. The Blood Debt Directive deals damage overtime and upgrades after 5s. Killing the enemy affected with the mark or using a Charged Attack on them will grant Arlecchino a Bond of Life of 65% for every mark absorbed, maxing out at 145%.
The damage from the Skill itself is negligible, so you don’t need to spend many resources levelling the talent, but it’s important to use the Skill regularly in order to claim your debts, increase your Bond, and amplify Arlecchino’s Normal Attacks.

Elemental Burst: Balemoon Rising
The Burst, when used, consumes the entirety of Arlecchino’s Bond of Life in order to heal Arlecchino based on the amount of Bond absorbed while damaging nearby enemies.
This is Arlecchino’s only way to recover health. Other teammates cannot heal her, so it’s important that this is used in order to keep our favorite harbinger alive.
Arlecchino Passives
Next, come her passives.
- Her first ascension passive is responsible for the marks inflicted onto enemies doubling in efficiency after five seconds. Rather than granting 65% Bond when claimed, Arlecchino will gain 130%. The best way to maximize the Bond obtained, then, is to start rotations with Arlecchino’s Skill, then swap to teammates to establish buffs and use their Skills and Bursts as necessary, then swap back to Arlecchino to use a Charged Attack and claim the Bond of Life.
- Arlecchino's fourth ascension passive grants up to 20% Elemental and Physical Resistance: 1% for every 100 ATK beyond 1,000. You’ll only reach the maximum when Bennett is granting Arlecchino a large ATK bonus, and even then, it won’t help her survivability very much.
- Finally, her unique passive grants her 40% Pyro Damage, but eliminates the ability to be healed by any sources, including food, except for her Burst.
Arlecchino’s field time should be executed as such:
- Arlecchino Skill
- Arlecchino Burst (if available). The Burst resets her Skill cooldown.
- Arlecchino Skill again (only if you used your Burst)
- Swap to other characters for buffs and abilities
- Return to Arlecchino, using a Charged Attack to claim Bond of Life.
- Three Normal Attacks, dash to cancel the attack string. Repeat this step five times.
Genshin Arlecchino Constellation Analysis
Arlecchino is a fully functional character at C0 and her first constellation is a massive improvement to her damage. It is recommended to pull for C1, if you have the primos, even more than her signature weapon. Her best constellations are C1 and C6.
Constellation Name | Abbreviated In-Game Description | Notes |
---|---|---|
C1. All Reprisals and Arrears Are Mine to Bear... | Doubles the damage increase from Bond of Life. Also, makes Arlecchino immune to interruption as long as her Bond of Life provides Arlecchino with Pyro infusion. | A monumental damage boost for Arlecchino. Higher priority than her signature weapon, even though her signature weapon looks really, really cool. |
C2. All Rewards and Retribution, Mine to Bestow... | Marks on enemies will automatically be amplified to their ideal level, and claiming those marks will deal 900% of her ATK as damage and increase all resistances by20%. | A quality-of-life buff more than a damage buff. The 900% damage looks better than it actually is in practice. This constellation is mainly for if you’re struggling to survive. |
C3. You Shall Become a New Member of Our Family... | Increase Normal Attack talent level by 3. | The Normal Attack talent level is the most important part of Arlecchino’s kit, and this adds a surprising amount of damage to Arlecchino’s output. |
C4. You Shall Love and Protect Each Other Henceforth... | Claiming a mark on enemies will generate 15 energy for Arlecchino and reduce her Burst’s cooldown by 2s. | This is not a damage boost in any way. Spending more time on using her Burst to heal can sometimes even be a DPS loss, but it makes healing easier and helps her survivability. |
C5. For Alone, We Are as Good as Dead... | Increases Burst talent level by 3. | Nothing special to see here. |
C6. From This Day On, We Shall Delight in New Life Together. | Burst damage is increased by 700% of Bond of Life. For 20s after using her Skill, Normal Attacks and Bursts Arlecchino uses gain 10% CRIT Rate and 70% CRIT DMG, triggered once every 15 seconds. | Surprisingly not the strongest constellation! That honor goes to C1. Nevertheless, 90 Crit Value is impossible to ignore. It’s just a shame that you have to get C4 and C5 before this one. |
Genshin Arlecchino's Best Weapons
Arlecchino’s weapon needs are somewhat unsurprising. She wants CRIT weapons the most, followed by ATK% or Elemental Mastery. Arlecchino has solid weapon choices at every budget level, so you won’t need to worry too much about pulling 5-star weapons just so she’s playable. A strong F2P option is actually a 3-star weapon!

Weapon Name | Abbreviated In-Game Description | Notes |
---|---|---|
Crimson Moon’s Semblance 22.1% CRIT Rate | Grants a Bond of Life equal to 25% of Max HP when a Charged Attack hits an opponent. This effect can be triggered up to once every 14s. In addition, when the equipping character has a Bond of Life, they gain a 12% DMG Bonus; if the value of the Bond of Life is greater than or equal to 30% of Max HP, then gain an additional 24% DMG Bonus. | Best-in-Slot By far Arlecchino’s best choice, as it is her signature weapon. Signature weapons tend to be stronger than other options, but Arlecchino’s signature adds a truly significant damage bonus since it buffs her Bond of Life mechanic. A high priority, but C1 is ultimately more damage overall. |
Primordial Jade-Winged Spear 22.1% CRIT Rate | On hit, increases ATK by 3.2% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. While in possession of the maximum possible stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%. | Best Standard Banner 5-Star Arlecchino’s attacks hit many times, and her attacks are fast, which means you’ll be able to max out the stacks of this weapon easily. Staff of Scarlet Sands and Staff of Homa are also find weapon inclusions, but do not perform significantly better than the best 4-star options. |
Deathmatch (R5) 36.8% CRIT Rate | If there are at least 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 32% and DEF is increased by 32%. If there are fewer than 2 opponents nearby, ATK is increased by 48%. | Battle Pass Option This is assumed to be single-target, and is the best (and one of the only) 4-star weapons worth your consideration. The huge amount of CRIT Rate makes Arlecchino easier to build to balance your CRIT ratios and is surprisingly potent for nearly any circ*mstance. |
Ballad of the Fjords (R5) 27.6% CRIT Rate | When there are at least 3 different Elemental Types in your party, Elemental Mastery will be increased by 240. | Battle Pass Option for Reaction Teams Generally, Ballad and the Fjords in Vaporize and Melt teams performs on par with Deathmatch in other teams. They’re easily comparable, but Deathmatch has been available for much longer, making it more likely to have high refinements for the weapon. Deathmatch is more versatile, but both weapons are pretty much tied in efficiency overall. |
White Tassel (R5) 23.4% CRIT Rate | Increases Normal Attack DMG by 48%. | F2P Option Without Bennett, this weapon falls off considerably, but Arlecchino almost always wants Bennett on her teams anyways, since he represents a large percentage of her damage profile. You can get your refinements for this just by playing the game, and it is head-and-shoulders above craftable options. |
Genshin Arlecchino's Best Artifacts
- Sands – ATK% (EM is fine in Vaporize and Melt teams where you are not using Ballad of the Fjords)
- Goblet – Pyro DMG Bonus
- Circlet – CRIT Rate/DMG
Arlecchino’s has two primary options for artifact sets. The first is a new artifact set completely made for her, and offers a reasonable damage increase compared to her other option. The next option has been around since the beginning of the game, and you’re quite likely to have high quality artifacts in Gladiator’s Finale. You can choose to min-max damage (under a 10% boost) by farming for the new set, or you can settle with a slightly weaker set that you likely will not need to spend resin to farm for.
If you have access to neither, mix and match 2pc sets that compliment her desired stats.
Artifact Set Name | Abbreviated In-Game Description | Notes |
---|---|---|
4pc Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy | 2pc: 15% Pyro DMG. 4pc: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%. | Best fo The 4pc Crimson Witch set is a staple on many Pyro DPS characters and is accessible from the beginning of the game. Make sure you pair Arlecchino with Xingqiu, Yelan, or Rosaria to maximize efficiency of this set. |
4pc Gladiator’s Finale | 2pc: +18% ATK. 4pc: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%. | Resin-Efficient Option Gladiator’s Finale makes full use of the importance of Arlecchino’s Normal Attacks, making it rank higher than all other alternatives. The buff is always there, and it’s not far away from her actual best artifact set. |
Genshin Arlecchino's Best Teams
Arlecchino is a DPS who prefers a strong buffer like Bennett, a shielder (in many cases) and then any character who can help Arlecchino create valuable elemental reactions. If you’re feeling especially daring, you can also use an Anemo character to debuff enemies and further increase Arlecchino’s damage instead of using a shielder.
You’ll basically be expected to pick one of three paths: Overload (with Chevreuse, who is essential for this team), Vaporize, and Melt.
For a full list of notable teammates, please scroll to the bottom of this guide.
Vaporize Team
Your team will include an off-field Hydro character with great elemental application and an Anemo character with 4pc Viridescent Venerer or a shielder in pretty much every case. Bennett should be in this team whenever possible.
advertisem*nt
Vaporize may seem like an odd preference compared to Melt at first, but due to how elemental reactions work, Pyro-on-Hydro allows for more reactions without needing to reapply Hydro to enemies as much, making the damage increase much more consistent.
Guide Character | Hydro/Cryo | Shielder | Bennett/Flex |
Melt Team
Your team will include an off-field Cryo character with great elemental application and an Anemo character with 4pc Viridescent Venerer or a shielder in pretty much every case. Bennett should be in this team whenever possible.
Melt teams require tons of Cryo application, since Pyro removes Cryo aura twice as fast as it removes Hydro aura on enemies. You should have at least two Cryo units with good application to make certain Arlecchino can consistently Melt. In exchange, you’ll get bigger numbers on Normal Attacks.
Guide Character | Cryo | Shielder | Bennett/Flex |
Chevreuse Overload Team
Chevreuse’s inclusion in this team is non-negotiable, since she is wholly responsible for providing huge debuffs and buffs based on Overloaded reactions. However, this restricts the teambuilding to only Pyro and Electro characters.
There isn’t a lot of wiggle room here in terms of teammates, but it is one of the more affordable ones, as it only requires 4-star characters. This noticeably doesn’t have a shielding option, but rewards you with high damage output comparable to Vaporize if Chevreuse is C6.
Guide Character | Fischl | Chevreuse | Bennett |
No Reactions, Just Add More Fire
Rather than focusing on an elemental reaction, Arlecchino takes advantage of both an Anemo character and a shielder alongside Bennett for buffs in order to maximize her personal damage.
